- First of all, you are required to have installed the latest Mi Fit app version on your smartphone. There you should be signed up with an account as well.
- Now, you need to pair your Mi Band 3 with your Account. In order to do that, simply tap select on the Band option to search for your Mi Band 3 and pair it with your account.
- Since the Mi Band 3 can be paired only with one account now there should be shown an error saying “Couldn’t pair, restore the band to factory settings and try again“. Once that message is shown there should be an option named Restore Factory Settings, so tap on it.
- After that, you will be asked to enter a 4 digit pin which is shown on the screen of Mi Band 3, enter the code in your Mi Fit app screen and tap ok to reset your Mi Band 3.

thanks, it worked. i signed in with new user id on mi fit and followed instructions on handset. When i selected BAND on menu it gave option for factory reset and restarted the device with Bluetooth on both devices.
